Preface

Thanks for checking in! I go into some ramblings and random tangents about myself here, so if you want to read a little bit about me, that's a good place.

who is me ?

I’m from Iran and studied architecture as an undergraduate. While I did enjoy parts of it, I was always more drawn to the math, structure, and engineering behind things than to architecture itself. Bridges, especially, have always fascinated me—massive structures that quietly handle enormous loads because humans figured out how to make them stand. I bring this up more often than I probably should. Maybe I’m just a nerd. But bridges are cool. So are rockets. Humans built all that. Outside of work and study, I spend an unreasonable amount of time playing Dota 2, usually as a carry.

When I’m not staring at a screen, I also enjoy sketching. It’s a slower, quieter way for me to think and notice details I’d otherwise miss. During university, while feeling stuck and unsure about my future, I was introduced to software engineering by a friend. That didn’t instantly change everything, but it opened a door I didn’t know existed. Eventually, through a mix of persistence, curiosity, and learning things from scratch, I broke into tech and now work as a backend software engineer. I’m still early in my journey, still figuring things out, and still trying to understand systems from the ground up. The path here wasn’t straight, but the detours eventually converged. And for now, that’s enough to keep me moving. It’s an exciting time to be alive exactly why I want to work alongside someone doing real research.
